Welcome, and thank you for considering to start or continue your martial arts journey with One Community Martial Arts. Whatever your personal goals are we will help you achieve and hopefully surpass them. Over the years our system has helped change lives for the better. We hope to have a positive impact on your life and those around you.
Our goal is to develop character and self-confidence one step at a time; while teaching skills that can keep you safe. We do this through our unique curriculum and teaching methods. We take a two part approach with our system. Part One is evidence-based aspects pulled from ongoing studies that prove the benefits of martial arts for all students. Part Two is the curriculum that has been developed over the last 25 years through the Head Instructors Martial Arts Journey, is everchanging and incorporates techniques and lessons from Moo Duk Kwan, Krav Maga, Kickboxing, Grappling, Marine Corps Martial Arts, and Real world Self-Defense Tactics.
We focus on both the traditional aspects and modern styles of Martial Arts to continue to improve our curriculum. We honor the ancient martial arts traditions, yet continue to develop and apply the most effective modern techniques. This is what makes us stand apart from other martial arts schools.
We are truly excited that you are joining the One Community Martial Arts family, and we look forward to being a part of your journey.
Our philosophy is to teach students at all ages, physical ability & cognitive levels to not only defend themselves, but to also be the best versions of themselves. We offer children, adult, special needs, and women’s self-defense seminars. Private training is also available.

The Owner/Operator of One Community Martial Arts is Master Michael Reeser. Michael started his Martial Arts journey as a child. His dedicated adult training began in 1996 at American Thunder Martial Arts under Sensei Ken Messner in New Holland Pa. While in attendance of American Thunder he learned the basics of Moo Duk Kwan, along with competing in open martial arts tournaments on the local and national level, and collegiate wrestling.
After earning his first black belt Michael moved on from American Thunder and begin training under Grand Master Miguel Dejesus at MAD Dragons. While studying at MAD Dragons he competed in full contact kickboxing fights, and MMA tournament. However Michael had made an important life choice and enlisted in the United States Marine Corps. In addition to the basic training of being a Marine, Michael went on to achieve another Black Belt in the Marine Corps Martial Arts Program during his deployment to Afghanistan. The Marine Corps also provided him with a very unique experience of being able to attend a traditional Moo Duk Kwan academy while in South Korea.
After Leaving the Marines, Michael continued his journey studying under numerous Master and Grand Masters in all different types of martial arts and fighting systems. Some of these included BJJ, Krav Maga, Tae Kwon Do and passive techniques in SCM. Michael continued to take part of each style and used his vast experience to create a comprehensive curriculum. In addition to training he held jobs in security and at a Juvenile treatment facility. In 2010 he returned to American Thunder and received his 2nd Dan, prior to the close of the school in 2012. After American Thunder closed Michael continued to teach previous students under the school name of Freedom Martial Arts. Michael trained students over the years all while studying under Master Houck and Grand Master Riehl. During this time Michael was invited to joining the Martial Arts Fellowship which included Likeminded School. While studying under Grand Master Rheil Michael received his 3rd, 4th, and 5th Dan’s. Michael continues to study and incorporate new evidence based learning in the hopes of bringing Martial Arts to all ability and cognitive levels.
Outside of Martial Arts, Michael has earned a Master’s Degree in Psychology with focus on Child and Adolescent Development. Michael draws from his time working in the juvenile justice system, the Trauma Informed Care, current evidence based studies, and his degrees to develop a curriculum that helps to develop character, self-confidence, and discipline in all types of students.
